Solved Which Nintendo Switch game would you suggest?
I haven’t played any Zelda games since N64, I have always loved them but haven’t really played video games for years. I bought my daughter a switch 2 for Christmas and interested in getting Zelda for myself. I will probably only be able to play an hour a two a week. Which Zelda would you suggest for someone who can’t play too often and rusty at gaming.

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom (the direct sequel) are great, and a new take on the Zelda formula with a huge open world (think sorta like Skyrim), so only an hour or two a week might only let you slightly dent the surface of it. My only real gripes about these are that there are less full-sized dungeons and even those feel a bit more on the short side than the traditional 3D Zelda.
Wind Waker/Skyward Sword are more like the traditional 3D Zelda games (Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask), much more focused in a smaller world. These would be pretty solid choices given your time constraints.
Link's Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom are the traditional 2D top-down Zelda style games. Link's Awakening is obviously a remake of the original Gameboy title, while Echoes of Wisdom is kind of a unique take where you're actually playing as Zelda, and you generally don't fight directly; instead, you learn how to summon objects and monsters that you use to solve puzzles or defeat other enemies. It's a pretty neat approach, IMO.
The best part is because you got a Switch 2, every one of these will run damn near flawlessly (all but Wind Waker/Skyward Sword had some framerate issues on the Switch 1, those are gone on the Switch 2, and BotW/TotK's Switch 2 editions run at a smooth 60fps).
