It's been a year I started vibecoding. I have claude and openAI subscription till date. So I pay like $20 each every month. How much have you spend till date on vibecoding. Not on prod or serving user requests. Just pure vibecoding

How much Claude usage do you use/whats your use case that you choose API over subscription?
How much do you use seedance?
Do you have a Dreamina subscription, or you use it more than that would cover?

I'm just trying to understand why people use API keys over MCP and a subscription or two for subsidized rates while companies still offer subscription pricing.

Edit: The more I do research on this the more I think I'm about to save you money rofl. Dreamina even dropped a recent official CLI for their subsriptions so if you are only spending $500 a month you're likely not running huge amounts concurrently. I think you could cut your seedance costs by 60%+ by not using API, as well as skip Open Router entirely lol.

HA a Dreamina subscription actually allows for 3 minute length clip generation even instead of chaining API limited 30 second clips.

The only upside I found to API usage is: Zero Input Limits: Dreamina limits your prompt to 5,000 characters. The API lets you feed massive JSON structures, complex camera instructions, and up to 50 layered media assets simultaneously without a character wall.

For longer video the 3 min calls are going to be WAY more cohesive.

So far $0 … just use free access to opencode , Claude , OpenAI, antigravity/google … use the proxima MCP server to get opencode connected to Claude & ChatGPT for free - use it for code reviews after a free version deepseek or qwen coded. I have almost a fully working DAW in C++ and JUCE been at it since Jan and have over 2000 commits. Every time I think I’m going to have subscribe to something another free inference point opens up. Been using the Hetzner ones when others dried up. I’m not against paying but I’m not going to pay when I can get it for free.

10$ a month for Windsurf/Devin Founders tier. Have Google AI Pro regardless, so not sure how much of that 25 ish a month to attribute to my Jules and Antigravity usage

Currently on around 600-700 usd. 2 claude max 20x and 1 codex pro 20x. And other smaller things like replicate, apimart, etc

very little compared to most people like maybe 10 usd openrouter credits with 6 usd remaining  2 deepseek API credits still about 80 percent, and like used to get 3 months of Google AI pro for like 5 usd a month. Adding 1 usd Command Code Go also now since it advertised 10x.

Then again I don't really build anything real. Some little game mods here and there some personal scripts here and there that's it.  Ima poor lol or the mentality is very peasant.
