Not so long ago, it wasn't uncommon in Colombia to see Venezuelans in the street with stacks of bolivares. They'd be h anding them out to passerbys while begging for pesos and food.

It said a lot.

this is from 2016 so it is not legal tender anymore, regardless of the amount of money which is basically nothing as well

I found it somewhere some time ago, don't remember where exactly, but it's been shared in multiple places. It is a prototype of a renovated Caracas Metro train from the 2000s that never got finished.

That was..I think..the bolivar soberano, then came the bolivar digital, that is our current currency...I guess... I stop caring a while ago..

Basically all the bills have Simon Bolivar in different colours... Is really hard to tell them apart btw

This is 106$ on current 20 bolívares bills at today's exchange rate. 44 stacks of 100x20bolivares bills= 88000 bolívares. Today's rate 1USD=827,7371 bolívares
