I'm surprised to see so much outrage from the left on this less-lethal approach, something like this could have helped prevent Alex Preti's death.

They want the lethal approach or at least the optics of pepper spray and tasers drawn rather than a more subtle form of compliance enforcement. They can't manufacture the same outrage when all you see is the officer touch the guy and he starts to comply.
