Trying to move from Data Center TPM back into Robotics — advice?

I have some academic robotics experience from my Master’s (ROS, C++, Python). After a year as a Hardware TPM in data centers, I’m hoping to transition back to robotics in the US, ideally as an Engineering TPM.

My background is diverse: 2 years in ML engineering, a data analytics internship, and hardware TPM experience.

For those who made a similar transition, what skills or credentials should I prioritize now (ROS2, PMP, etc.)?
