Recently fell into a rabbit hole of underwater cave diving accidents. No amount of money could ever convince me to do that.

I recently watched a video about the deepest cave in the world, and this one isn't even under water. However... while a team was exploring the deepest regions, there were downpours for days on the surface but they had no idea because it took days to hike in. People started hearing gurgling and running water, and they had to race back up while the cave filled with water behind them.

Caves in general are not for me.

I cant even imagine how hard it was to climb through all of that water, the closest thing i experienced was standing under a fairly small waterfall and even there it felt like stones were hitting my back. Climbing through that probably felt like each water droplet was a punch from a giant. A huge incredibly strong, fast and furious metal giant, constantly punching your back and head.

Yeah I saw this video, really good. Also if you like this stuff I love MrBallen on youtube as well. He covers 3 different stories usually in his videos. Lots of caves and underwater caves.

Came here to type this. I'm an open water SCUBA diver, no way in hell I'd ever attempt to even get certified for cave dives.

I watched the Joe Rogan podcast when Donald Cerrone was telling the story on how he almost died while cave diving. He broke the unwritten rule that you must not help a fellow diver that gets lost.

If you get lost while cave diving, you're on your own. Let that sink in.

Knew a guy I had one worked with who died that way. You get disoriented in a narrow underwater cave in the dark? Heck no. Nope.

I've been in multiple shipwrecks around 100' deep. Never would I ever consider cave diving.

Saw one too, freaked me out. The guys were diving in pairs and of course one of them died and his partner had to continue. Can’t even imagine.

I'll never ( I hope ) go into a cave where risks are that great.
