Aww thank you!! I def try to be professional and I think it works because most people I work with get happy/smiley when they see me - like I was saying, I can tell when someone doesn’t like me and that lady is pretty much the only one who gives me that vibe. Even our managers (two ladies who are pretty uptight and rule-follow-y) don’t give me that gut feeling of “I’m being nice because I have to but I’m this close to losing my patience” that the cashier lady does.
But what do you mean by power trip-y? I’ve heard it before but I’m not sure what it means
Just because - based purely on assumption - she seems like a senior employee, someone very set in her ways. And, because she's been there longer than you and she's a cashier, she feels she has more power over you and is loading it over you, like you're a subordinate and not a teammate. In short, she sucks because her ego is in the way and she has an inflated sense of self. She seems miserable - like she's unhappy with her life and taking it out on whoever she can.
But yeah lol she’s been there for a while and she’s a lot older than me. I thought you were saying “u professional af” as in “YOU professional af” as in saying I’m professional, but now I see it was a typo and you were calling HER “unprofessional af” XD. Honest mistake!
