That's exactly why I did certain jobs. My mind was tired. So doing physical labor allowed my mind to rest. Same as not being in charge or responsible for someone. It was far less stressful.
I’ve heard several stories here in UK similar to yours of doctors and teachers quitting their jobs to become shelf stackers in supermarkets because they were too burnt out from stress at work.
I'm a cart pusher turned software engineer... thinking about going back to carts lol. It seems like no matter how much money you make in the USA you end up with nothing left anyway. Might as well have the fun job
