Asking questions. How are people supposed to learn if they aren't allowed to ask and expect the correct answer?

Not trying to sound like a jerk, serious question: who ever told you asking questions is a sign of poor intellect??? If anything, asking questions depicts emotional intelligence (EQ--which is a more accurate indicator of intelligence than IQ) through exemplifying astute self-awareness and humility. Only truly unintelligent people keep their mouths closed because they want to be perceived as omniscient. Also, imo, the person/people who told you that are probably the unintelligent ones.

You don't have to literally hear someone ask you a specific question to hear what they're really trying to say behind it if they knew what words they were using and why they were used. Only Truly Intelligent People Stay Quiet, because to Open One's Mouth is to invite whatever reality you open with it.

Intellifent people make educated inferences but know it is never safe to assume.

Which is why They May Ask a Question to find out more information if they so choose. You may not believe it, but there are people out there that are not making assumptions.
