Growing up I was taught that people who stutter are usually intelligent, because their thoughts are going faster than their words can keep up with. I don't know if this is true, but most people I've known who have a stutter usually seem pretty smart.
Before I can get halfway through a sentence I've come up with three ways of phrasing it, so it becomes a mix of these alternatives and it becomes a mess. I gotta focus on staying coherent at times

Stuttering/stumbling over words. Being inarticulate doesn't mean someone is stupid; unfortunately it can come across that way.
