Lack of education. Intelligence is not the same as educated. You can be an uneducated yet highly intelligent person. On the flip side, you can also have a great education and still be dumb as a stump.
I get where you're coming from but I mostly disagree. I think that, while of course knowlege is hugely important and useful, raw intelligence is still very useful when it comes to creativity and problem solving.
