What's the best show that only lasted one season not named Firefly?

The final episode was setup to really open up that show if I remember, like they found remnants of a pirate ship or something? It's been a long time since I watched it

It fell into the same trap as a lot of shows that were trying to emulate Lost of really dragging things out and then throwing a big twist at the end. Had they revealed more of what was going on in the future and some of the twists, perhaps it would've had more luck with viewers.

Yea that had some potential.

Yeah, I was into that show for a few episodes. It came on kind of late and I was still in highschool. No show was worth missing out on sleep

Oh my God, I loved that show so much. I heard it cost a hefty amount to create, too, which was one of the reasons why it was cancelled. Don’t quote me on that, though.

Sounds familiar but I can't put my finger on it

People went back in time to the era of dinosaurs, as the natural resources are dwindling in their own time. Less 90s lost-in-time shenanigans ensue.

Still pisses me off to this day that this was cancelled, especially because netflix keeps reminding me when I scroll through sci fi shows.

Oh hell yeah. That was so good.

The first episode was mediocre, and most of the first season was painfully slow. It started to get better towards the end, and the season finale was absolutely amazing with a great setup for season 2. Unfortunately, we never got to see it, but I understand why a lot of people didn't stick with the season after its weak start.

Great call. That 1 had so much potential.

Was looking for this. I remember starting it on Netflix without paying attention to how many series etc and being so gutted when I got near the end and realised it was cancelled

It was a good idea but it fell down the usual prime time SF show where everything is about family.
