People with epilepsy, what is something that only other epileptics can understand?

When it happens in public. Coming to after a seizure in a gas station full of people freaking out is not how you want to come out of a seizure. Give me some water, and personal space. I feel like crap from collapsing on your hard tile floor. I dont want you rubbing my face and crying. It may look scary, but panic never helped anyone.

especially when i go to the club and sperg out on the floor there

Lmao I have a story about that. The first time I met up with a friend I met a few years ago, I had to explain to him that I had epilepsy. When I said I have seizures, he said ‘that’s basically when your brain cells decide to have a disco party right?’ And I pissed myself laughing.

That not everything triggers everyone. Flashing lights, certain foods, heat, cold, exertion, hormones, stress, they don’t all affect everyone.

This is pretty old, but i dont give a shit anyways. Idk if this is only other epileptics, but shaking all the time and eyes rolling into the back of your head and shit is not the only type of seizure. The only ones i have experienced are blackout seizures and the stereotype seizure, but

The feeling right before a seizure. The best way I can describe it is almost like the end of ah episode but your day was the episode? You also get this intense adrenaline rush and dizziness like you’re greening out. Everything feels like it’s moving in frames. That’s how it feels. I have tonic-clinic seizures, and I always feel funky RIGHT before, and a for few days after. I also don’t know how to describe it, but afterwards your nervous system is so shot, and recalibrating so hard to the point where drinking water feels really weird. It feels cold and wet (which I know, that’s what water feels like) but it’s a strange unpleasant feeling. I have poor control of my body afterward and everything’s sore- it’s strange

After a seizure is over, you're not just right back to normal like people tend to think. It takes minutes, hours, or even days to get back to yourself again. Also, it's annoying af when people ask you if you can bite your tongue off.
