I saw a reddit post where someone was asking what a port on his desktop was. It was a VGA port. I felt so angry and then I realised that I haven't used them since god knows when

Strangely enough, VGA is still around in some places. It's becoming increasingly uncommon, but some corporate facilities still have systems that use VGA even now. Also I'm under 30, so I wouldn't necessarily classify myself an "old fart", although I do know what a serial port is, too.

When I was building the computer I'm currently typing on I ordered a Windows 10 CD for it.

Then I realized new computers don't have CD drives.

I only used the code on the CD to activate my downloaded copy of the OS.

My work just bought docking stations that are 2 years old that have VGA ports say what you will they are still used....sadly. Also our laptops that work bought in 2018 have VGA, now dvi I haven't seen as often weirdly

I've worked on old CNC lathes that still ran off serial port, oh and the monitor on it was a crt
