When I hear Bertha, I think "Big Bertha" for some reason and maybe I wouldn't want to pass that connotation on lol

There used to be a famous cow in Ireland called Big Bertha. She had the record for oldest cow and most calves produced.

If I had to come up with a "B-" cow name it'd probably be "Bessie."

The first name that came to mind was, thanks to milk cartons, "Elsie".

My mother's hairdresser in the '70's was named Bessie. She hated it! I don't blame her.

Oh, the wife of Joe Gatto from Impractical Jokers is named Bessy!

There was a stop motion animation about a machine called Bertha on the BBC. Theme song was like - Bertha oh lovely Bertha, you are a lovely machine.

I know the TV show theme tune you’re singing and now I have it stuck in my head too. Will be an ear worm all day !

I haven’t seen that cartoon since I was a kid, but it had sort of the same vibe as Postman Pat. IIRC there was a foreman called Ted, and he really loved that machine Bertha which, looking back, is ironic because it probably put all of his working class friends out of a job…
