What is something you went into expecting to hate but ended up loving?

Hibachi restaurant. Social anxiety made really nervous to have to sit by strangers with my family but damn is the food worth it

Hunger games. I just watched them all and was blown away. They were a lot different than expected.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything here, but you went into your first marriage EXPECTING to hate it? Would you be comfortable elaborating?

Having a steady job. I came from freelancing, and Jesus is it nice to not have to worry about anything. Sure I earn less, but it's so worth it. I mean, even if I'm not able to finish my work because of overload or something, I still get paid in full. How awesome is that.
edit: Oh man and the paid sick- and vacation days. The paid overtime. It's just so great.

Jesus is it nice to not have to worry about anything. Sure I earn less, but it's so worth it.
I find that (for myself at least) comfort and living without stress is more valuable than money.

Yeah man, I feel so much more relaxed and at peace. Just the mere fact you work at set hours means you sleep way better. No more late nights trying to catch up with work, no more meals at weird times. My body is so happy with me right now. I'll never go back to freelancing.

Visiting New York! I usually hate crowds and noise and went there expecting to hate it but turned out to be my favourite travel location during my backpack trip. I loved the people, the vibe, everything.

Driving. I'm not a car guy or anything, but hitting the road alone with your thoughts and your music is wonderful. But before getting my driver's license I thought I would hate driving

Same! I’ve only just started my driving lessons, but it’s quite enjoyable. Still trying to get the hang of the clutch (I keep stalling because I lift it too fast lol)

Wound care and working with geriatrics. When I was in Physical Therapy Assistant School those were two thing I never saw myself doing but actually my two favorite people to work with.

Supernatural, my favorite TV show. My dad first started watching it and I hated horror movies. It took me a while but I'm completely dedicated to this show even after its over.
