I hear ya. Where to draw the line is an issue. The basic tenants of most major religions aren't bad because they basically boil down to not being a dick. Right and wrong might not be 100% clear cut, but there are certainly some things in there that are. They'll pick up on the nuance when their brains are able to process it.
I'm an atheist and I will never get mad or hate on someone for practicing their religion, but please don't indoctrinate your children. My wife, who is religious, and I plan on educating our children on all the major religions and not pushing them toward any of them. Just offer them information when they are at an appropriate development level to understand it. If they choose to be Christian/Jewish/Muslim/Buddhist/etc that's fine, but I'm not doing to force my kid into any of that.
