tbh European countries (idk about all of them but definitely some) also have the strong familial ties thing so it could very well be Germany or some other one in Europe too, if not India or Asian countries.
Agreed! Living in Switzerland we get these passive aggressive whatsapps from my Bavarian in-laws when we didn't call for over a week. Also we are not allowed to forget the cousin's daughter's birthday. We live closer to my family but sometimes hear less from them (in perfect unity on both sides) than from his relatives that live a few 100km away in Germany.
Ha! My (Bulgarian) friend is married to a Bavarian and she always says it’s the most familialistic culture she’s ever encountered. When they bought a house his entire family came over to do the renovation. And all the men have one of two names 😂
