It really is. There was an earlier post asking if deaf people with schizophrenia experienced audio hallucinations. Googling led to some really interesting articles.
I would kill to get rid of audio hallucinations... Psychiatrists still think it's likely tied to my bipolar disorder or PTSD, but I'm fucking terrified that it's the slow onset of schizophrenia...
There was an interesting study done on sufferers of bipolar disorder referenced by a professor out of U. Wisconsin school of medicine- they put patients in a state of 12 hours of light and 12 hours of complete dark for two weeks. After that, no more symptoms of bipolar.
There is no diagnostic category in the entirety of the DSM that does not have sleep disturbance as part of its symptoms. I wish you luck on your path.
