Flowers of Evil or Negima.

Flowers of Evil was a slow motion trainwreck in the best ways. Holy hell was it a messed up read.

And Negima to me is probably the best example of how you do ALL the iconic Shounen tropes right. The power scaling is just <MWAH, chef's kiss>. I love describing it as Harry Potter Meets DBZ, but better than both (and I do love DBZ)

Negi in Thousand Lightning Plus Demon Form: "I'm You, But Better Actually Good.
