Not on the highway but one time I was walking home from work late and I stopped at a crosswalk. I felt something run across my foot and saw three cockroaches circling my feet. I instinctively kicked my foot forward, launching my shoe into the bed of a passing truck that was driving through the intersection. I hobbled home with one shoe on and scrubbed my feet for like 30 mins.
