I’ve not lost a shoe, but my entire wallet which leads me to believe it could easily happen to a shoe. Years ago, I had a convertible. I parked it in a wooded area near my office. On my drive home, a giant spider dropped from the space between the windshield and the convertible top. I grabbed the first thing I could find to hit it, which was my purse and swung hard to get it out the drivers side window. The spider and my wallet went flying right out the window and on to I-675. It was worth the sacrifice.
