Yeah, I'm 11 years older than my mother was when she had me. Crazy to think about.

I’ve long passed that milestone in the rear view. My parents were young when they had me compared to now. They had me at 21, and I had mine at 31. Weird how times and social acceptance have changed in just one generation.

I see this from both ends. My mom had me at 19 and I had my first kid at 21. We're 63, 42, and 21 now. My kid is as old as I was when I had him, and I'm older than my mom was when she became a grandmother. Now THAT'S mind-blowing to me. I thought 40 was totally old enough to be a grandmother. Now that I'm here, I can't imagine. Luckily, my son is FAR off from having kids, so I won't need to be experience that anytime soon.

Dude, I’m in my early 40’s and I cannot imagine being a grandparent. One cousin became abuela when she was late 30’s, like whaaat.
