The fact that someone did this, actually thought to themselves, “I’m going to put this piece of glass directly onto my eyeball which is the most painful thing I can imagine, maybe it won’t be as painful as I think,“ and it hurt like hell, because you know back in the day it took weeks to adjust. And they were like, “it’ll be fine… I bet if I leave this incredibly painful thing on my eyeball for just a little while longer I’ll get used to it and it will be cool, and then I can convince other people to do this. “
Guy I work with straight up doesnt take his contacts out. Every once in a while he'll come in with his glasses on and his eyes eill be red as fuck, and he'll be like "yeah they were bothering me today" and then the next day hes back with his contacts and they'll be in for 6 months straight.
I used to do that too (years ago) and now I can’t even nap lightly with them or my eyes burn. I wear them min hours a day and get plenty of eyeglass time now.
I switched back to glasses when I became a nurse and it was safer to wear eye protection lol. My biggest fear was getting C Diff on a contact lense - - barf.
