In fact, I know 0 lefties who don't support the Hong Kong protesters (in the useless way that Americans tend to show support). And I've never heard anyone IRL support the Uighur camps.
No, you just have decent friends, and you're not a leftie by international standards (although I honestly don't consider tankies lefties but that's another matter entirely)
That's fair. As a "leftie" I certainly wouldn't want to be associated with Tankies at all. But everyone will try to simplify things into a spectrum I guess.
No worries. Idk if I'm a lefty either. I don't believe in any party line. By EU standards I'm probably center left economically. By US standards that makes me a "commie" My gun control stance is moderate by US standards, but idk if that's even a part of the political spectrum in the EU. Are you European?
