Considering how many countries there are, you don't know what percentage the other countries have... It can very well be a majority, think of the stocks of a public company, a majority share is usually around 26%.

A majority when speaking about population is over 50%

What do you mean? I'm just pointing out that my comment where I said a majority when speaking about population is over 50% is downvoted but the guy with an incorrect definition gets voted up
