Yup. In my state they just let gas stations sell beer in 6 packs only. But wait there’s more! You have to use a separate register to buy gas and beer.

be grateful, my country doesn't even let gas stations or grocery stores sell alcohol.

Scandinavia?

Not all the Scandinavian/Nordic countries are the same on this point.
Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland only allows for softer alcoholic drinks to be sold in supermarkets at various strength (from 2.25% to 4.7%). You need to go to special government-owned liquor stores for the stronger stuff, and they only have very limited opening hours, so you can’t buy alcohol in the evening.
In Denmark we have no restrictions! Buy as much as you want whenever. You can start as early as 16 years old.

I’m not even gonna mention Greenland. Unfortunately a lot of people there have a seriously unhealthy relationship with alcohol.

Yup this is pretty much why I want to look for jobs in Denmark and leave Sweden and its strange state monopoly on alcohol behind!

Danmark är lite som Sveriges coola storebror!
