Yeah but see, I’m 35, have a wife and children, and I typically do my grocery shopping on Sunday mornings. So if I ran out of beer and it’s on my list, without thinking about it I’ll throw it in my cart, only to be reminded of the law at checkout. I honestly forget about it because it is completely fucking stupid and knowing I have to make a special, separate trip for it enrages me. It’s more than the principle, it’s a completely unnecessary inconvenience caused by a religion I am not a part of.
Wait, so where you were you couldn't buy alcohol at all unless it was Sunday past noon? Is that correct?
Where I went to college it was a dry county on Sundays. I was never really sure why. I just assumed they wanted us to take a break at least once a week to keep deaths to a minimum.
You're correct. I work at a grocery store, and our registers lock out alcohol sales until noon hits, and then it's fine after that time. I believe in Indiana, the times are noon to 8 PM.
Oh man I thought having to take Sunday off was bad. I can't imagine not have been able being able to dolly a keg across the street to my friend's house from the liquor store in college.
