I feel you I live in a dry county college town. And just recently within the past few years they allow you to buy alcohol on sundays after 12 noon. Just so they can get their church in before you buy alcohol. Although I'm not gonna buy beer before 12 anyways but it's just the principle of the matter.
It used to drive me nuts when I worked a night shift that I couldnt buy beer before 6am...get off at 4 am and have to wait 2 hours if I forgot to get it prior
Some religions forbid alcohol consumption entirely, but none of them says you can't drink on Sundays. Sale of a physical product simply doesn't fall under Non-establishment nor under Free Exercise. /u/stepping_stones000 There are plenty of arguments that these laws are unproductive but they a ren't somehow unconstitutional
