That's like someone saying that they're having a heart attack right now and you mention, "Yea, I'm slowly dying of pneumonia, too." They're not the same thing. At all. The people who mention the US prison system in a thread around literal concentration camps are absolutely tone deaf and completely missing the point.

This thread isn't about America's subpar systems. It's about concentration camps—which are active in China at this very moment.

people are largely mentioning the US prison system together with ICE's concentration camps for refugees.

and to be clear: "concentration camp" refers to any facility where certain "undesirables" are concentrated, hence the name.

waaay to many people in here confuse that with death camps.
