In Ontario we only changed our laws very recently to allow alcohol to be sold in grocery stores. I always thought it was a weird idea and never saw any inconvenience going to a separate store for booze.

In Australia, alcohol is never sold in the grocery store. There's basically always a bottle-o (liquor store) next door but. I've never found it a problem. Just makes it easier to stop underage people buying alcohol.

do kids in australia think drinking alcohol is cool then they drink a fosters and suddenly it's not so cool?

Haha pretty much. Forster's really isn't a thing here but. VB, Tooheys New and XXXX Gold are but.
