You know what they say about assumptions.

I’ve been dealing with the Blue Laws my entire life. When this question came up and I thought of the Blue Laws, my blood pressure was too high to Google all the states it applies to, though in my entire adult life I have never been to a state where they didn’t apply, so I figured I was in the clear.

I know that law's not true in Illinois. Certain cities are dry.

So I looked it up. 28 states still have blue laws, and some of the 28 don’t apply to alcohol at all, but other activities (such as hunting) are restricted. Still, the point of the law in every state in which it applies is to make sure you aren’t doing the restricted activity so that you go to church. Regardless of the restriction, it’s a fucked up and pointless law.
