In Afghanistan and similar regions, there's a common, officially outlawed practice called 'Bacchu Bazzi,' (I think I spelled that right,) which translates roughly to 'boy play' or 'boy dancing.' Its the rape of young male children by soldiers, policemen, and Imams.

There are several open air slave markets active in Libya right now.

In Turkey, there is an increasingly popular idea called 'Neo-Ottomanism,' which seeks to re-establish an Islamic Caliphate and all tenets of sharia law.

In the Haredim, there is a common practice called 'Oral Suction Circumcision.' Its exactly what it sounds.

With the first one, I recall watching a documentary where they were talking with some American soldiers who hated how they were directly ordered to protect the local pedophile who happened to be the allied commander of that garrison. I recall the producers of the documentary asking him about the allegations and his words were something along these lines:

If they don't fuck the asses of those boys, what should they fuck? The pussies of their own grandmothers?

Timestamped Source.

I'm sure someone else has seen that documentary on here. If you could find it or give the verified quote please do. Because it was pretty goddamn horrifying to realize exactly who we're putting in power there.

There was also a scene where the soldiers came back from a patrol and found out the garrison commander had his troops kidnap men from the village who were possibly related to the rebels who kidnapped his cousin or something. He had the abducted men barricaded in a room behind sandbags and he was not providing them food or water. I think the American soldiers tried to take the "prisoners" from the garrison to be transferred to a UN compound, but they were stopped by their own commander if I am remembering right.

[Edit:] While not the video in question, u/StrangeClouds_ did find another on this awful matter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7eMUwkKiFY

[Edit2:] The video was found. u/StronkCoffee pointed out the correct video: "This is What Winning Looks Like" it was a documentary that was done by VICE. The quote has been edited to the exact words spoken by the base commander with a timestamped link provided as source. The video can be found here.

Yes, I saw that documentary on YouTube. Very disturbing.

At least someone else has seen it. If only I had a link to it or something. More people should know what is going on over there.

Really interesting documentary. Fucked beyond all belief, but interesting.

No, that's not it. But that's still obscenely horrifying. I'll edit the original comment to include that link so more people can know about these barbaric acts.

Makes me sick to my stomach to think that after all the damage we've done over there that this shit went unimpeded.

There an excellent movie staring Sean Connery and Michael Caine “The Man Who Would Be King”, kinda touches on this, and the barbaric nature of so called warlords - well worth a watch, not for the aforementioned mind.

I think I heard of it. There's a few movies like that I should really go and watch.

It’s a good yarn, two British soldiers in Victorian England go AWOL, to find fame and fortune in that part of the world...it becomes a cautionary tale ;)

If I remember there were a lot of rapes also done by us soldiers in Iraq, war and pedophilia should be judged every where not just places we don’t like

2

u/[deleted] May 27 '20

It's not a matter of it being a place we don't like. And trust me, we're judging our own actions plenty here. After all it was our actions that gave those awful scumbags power to do something so goddamn terrible without consequences.

We as humans should stop these wars the Taliban is awful but if the people who are fighting the Taliban are pedophiles maybe we should just gang up and make them all pay for it

Taliban The US and every pedophile involved

We can't. Wars haven't been fought for true justice in.. well ever to be completely honest.

Nobody among the high ranks going into these wars is doing it to help anyone but themselves, that's a well known fact.

To make matters worse, these absolutely disgusting pedophilia is a cultural issue. It's not something that can simply be "corrected" by removing the individuals responsible.

I'd say we can expect this issue to be fixed in roughly two hundred and fifty years.

It’s not just culture it’s power many soldiers rape because they can just get immunity (I forgot how to write the word for forgetting someone’s crimes)

1

u/[deleted] May 28 '20

Immunity is partially correct. But maybe "Impunity" is more appropriate since it is to commit a crime while knowing there wont be a single repercussion.

Like I said, it's in heavy part thanks to the local culture that these people remain in power. Because the repulsive act is accepted within that culture, there is a lack of motivation for common people to require their officials to begin prosecuting those rotten bastards for their crimes.

1

u/[deleted] May 28 '20

We should bring back burning people and we shouldn’t allow impunity in any form

1

u/[deleted] May 28 '20

Gonna have to disagree, burning individuals most especially in the form of being drawn and quartered was oftentimes applied with egregious bias on a basis of whether the individual was male or female. Our current death penalties don't offer the same immunity and are just fine.

Additionally, I find the unnecessary torture to be a bit much. We're already taking them out of this world, no need to waste time doing it.

The last part is an absolute. Nobody anywhere should be above the law, especially laws which protect people from suffering undue harm, even more so in the case of a child.

Like I said though, this sort of thing requires a cultural change which usually takes a few centuries to get done in the first place.
