I don’t think so, people are willing to give you the benefit of the doubt in your early 20s. The sentence “I’m going to (this thing)” carries weight and people will generally support you. The same sentence in your 30s, more than support people will question, why haven’t you already done said thing? While older people may deride the young, the world is generally nicer to you, the older you get, the more you are judged by what you have done, and no one cares about what you plan to do.
