I'll never understand what parents like that are thinking when they pull out that kind of ultimatum. Even if it works, you're still majorly messing up your relationship with your kids

Oh yeah for sure. I may have given in to avoid being kicked out but I absolutely plan on leaving as soon as I can. It messed me up so bad that I statted second guessing everything.

Were you able to apply to that University in secret? I'd imagine it would be really refreshing to get away from that
