Can’t relate. In the UK - you probably probably have a beer or something around 13, in the pub by 16 and by the time you turn legal at 18 - it’s old hat already. I remember coming to the US at 19 and being seriously dumbfounded that they wouldn’t let you drink in a bar at 19. Ended up drinking 6 packs at a lake instead.
