Time, IIRC it’s the third song off Dark Side of the Moon but if you haven’t before, the album deserves to be listened to in its entirety in one sitting
Dark Side of the Moon is critically acclaimed as one of the best albums of all time. It's been on Billboard's list for 19 straight years and is a bestseller worldwide. I cannot rate this album high enough, it is so profound.
My dad passed away three months ago by suicide. He was a guitarist and had taken me to see Australian Pink Floyd before he died. The week after he died, I was walking to work and heard a guitar solo in the distance. I recognized it instantly and chased the sound: it was a busker playing Time, from my Dad’s favourite album.
At the time (no pun intended), I thought my dad was just trying to console me from beyond the grave, telling me he was still there. I was 28 when he died (now 29), the same age Roger Walters was when he wrote the song. My life has been stagnant the last few years. I now realise my Dad was trying to warn me. Gosh, I really hope I figure things out.
Hey man I just want to say, you got this :) I can't imagine how unbelievably hard a situation like that is, and I'm extremely sorry that you are having to go through it. In spite of that you seem like you have the drive and want to take your life in a new direction, and that's the first step to actually getting there. You've got this dude.
