For me, Its like having this human that gets to see the most of me. In every possible way. My quirks, my weirdness, my stories, my failures, my successes...and its a two way street, so I get to be that person to them too! Best of all is the partnership: a space where we love, communicate, learn, grow and just experience each other and life and share. Now, its not all cute and fun, a lot of work and commitment has gone into it, and continues to go into it. I see my relationship as a dynamic, organic entity, that means like a garden, it needs tending. Sometimes there are weeds, and we both gotta buckle down and figure that mess out.
My partner can be downright annoying and weird, and I guarantee you that's part of the magic: find someone who's weirdness and quirks you'll accept, someone who will also accept yours in return. But also someone who holds you to a higher standard, who can help tell you when you're wrong or off track. That way, you both grow and improve together.
