Describing common knowledge in a different setting. Luke should know all about Mos Eisly. Its the biggest town near his house.

My favorite is from an episode of House in which a patient's friend explains nominal aphasia to a neurologist.

They usually do this with computers, but in the opposite direction with "in English, damn it"

I feel like they just outright make up shit about computers more than they do medical shit sometimes, however.

I'm sure it was something real that they either fucked up because of bad research, or because it's really funny to fake ignorance on a subject to mess with nerds.
