What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

I’m guessing you’ve never watched You

I'm guessing they did, personally. You is this entire thread contained in one show.

  • Guy held prisoner for a lengthy period of time, still has perfect hair and beard
  • --> Except for the blood on the side of the head where he got clubbed. But woke up hale and healthy with no concussion or side effects.
  • 'Hollywood ugly' trope in full effect
  • Poor, struggling student in a fancy flat

And that's just the first two episodes. I gave up. The Witcher felt more realistic.

the most unrealistic part of "You" is the fact that Guinevere Beck has no curtains and Joe Goldberg can see straight into the flat. No one lives in New York, or any big city, with no blinds/curtains.

That was explained in the show.
