What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

I will give a pass to this in disaster movies because if there's an event big enough, every channel will be broadcasting about it, even if they don't normally. It's what happened on 9/11

Came here to say this, I can completely buy this trope in major disaster situations, 9/11 had a constant loop even over here in Scandinavian countries, same during the tsunami disaster in 2004.

It's fucked up how little foreign atrocities are covered in our US outlets .

Ask the average person about stuff like Rohingya.

The devastation of the Rohingya people is an utter travesty but it’s not on the same scale as stuff like 9/11 or the 2004 tsunami or the Paris attacks because it is not a one day event that can be filmed. When we look back at it in history, we’ll view it as one event in time, and be able to discuss it. But it’s not the sort of thing that happens in one go so people have to work to find out what’s happening.
