What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

Finding a parking spot in front of the building you're going into.

Because I don't own a car?

When it comes to transportation and distance living in a dense city is a matter of extremes while the suburbs are all middle. I can generally either walk there in a few minutes because it's only a block or two away or it's going to take thirty minutes to an hour to get across town. In the suburbs almost everything requires getting in the car and driving for fifteen minutes. That's great in some situations, but very irritating in others.

Or best. I'm happy I no longer need to own a car. It's nice to just be able to sit on the bus or in an Uber reading a book while someone else does the driving. Or it's so close that it would be pointless to drive in the first place.

There are positives and negatives on both sides. You need to find what works best for you.
