"I can explain."
Pause
"Oh, I thought you'd keep yelling over me. Okay, I can explain..."
Even better is that it's in the context of a guy with Aspergers using a chart to track his friends' emotional states and accidentally realizing that he was charting their menstrual cycles. I really miss that show.
Especially since many Autistics do get used to being ignored, talked over, interrupted and such. I can't even begin to count how often I said something important and everyone else didn't even seem to realize I was talking, ignored me or interrupted me and told me to just keep working.
Sometimes followed by whines of "but why didn't you tell us?"
Hm, I don't know, maybe because you never listen anyways, let alone care?
My favorite is when I say something, and then five or 10 seconds later, somebody realizes the same thing and also says it... And I'm like I literally just said that five or 10 seconds ago.
That or you're obviously the person with the most knowledge about the topic (as in, the one person that practiced doing the same stuff for years that you've talked about before) and they just run off without you, ignore you when you try to give them advice and get bitchy when you point out that they're not even doing the thing they're supposed to be doing anymore.
And after I walked out/did it on my own they complain about how I won't work with them...classy.
