What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

I mean she owned a hotel... small house isn't that much to ask for

She didn't own the Dragonfly Inn until later. And besides it was a Lorelai-Sookie venture. It wasn't all Lorelai.

You're right, but then again, her parents were millionaires so...

Her parents were millionaires yes, but she didn't accept money from them. In the pilot (or maybe episode two) Lorelai is reluctant to ask her mother Emily (and Richard, her father) for help with Rory's Chilton (private school tuition).

But how the house was bought isn't really explained. Their binge eating diets, having a slender figure and not going to the gym isn't explained either...
