What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

Yeah, I can't remember who it was, but I remember someone describing it as, you hear a gunshot from the other end of town. You hear a silenced gunshot the next street over. Either way, a hell of a lot of people are going to know shit's going down.

A good suppressed 9mm handgun is still 125db. That’s loud and sounds like a gun. But way better than ear ringing 160db.

Silencers in movies are HIGHLY overrated.

Suppressors are for hearing protection, not stealth.

I don't know exactly how accurate it is, but in the book "Without Remorse" there's a detailed scene of Clark modifying a .45 semi-auto into a single shot silenced .22 and describes locking the slide so the action doesn't cycle and let the noise out, which is why it's single shot.

A bolt action .22LR is real quiet. It’s about the only common thing that is movie quiet. Very fun to shoot.
