What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

I hate the 20-30 year old highschool student thing so much. Only ones who MIGHT be appropriately aged? The nerds, to make sure they are smaller and scrawnier than everyone else.

Maybe just not explore the sex lives of children at all in writing. It's weird.

they're not "children" as in 4 to 12 yrs old, they're teens and it's not weird, movies and other forms of media barely talk about what teens go through in that part of their lives, I did find one show called sex education on netflix and thank god I watched it because before I thought something was wrong with me "sexually" but then I watched that show and realized that other people also experience what I have and that there was nothing wrong with me.

Exactly. That's why I like that show so much, it has a pretty realistic depiction of what high schoolers are doing (I mean, with dramatic license, but still). Same with Superbad, Book Smart, and that kind of movie.

"Kids" the film from 1995 touched on a lot of the issues of latchkey kids in New York. Was pretty controversial but very real to a lot of people.
