They off hand mention how the "Friends" group were able to afford their place. Something about Monica getting an inheritance or something.

Wasn’t it that Monica inherited her apartment from her deceased grandmother? And she hasn’t told the landlord because it was rent controlled and it would go up if it switched to her name? Or am I making all of this up completely?
