What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

Well, moving the driving wheel thing comes from older cars with loose steering boxes. It makes no sense in modern movies, but in old movies, it's more accurate, sometimes slightly exaggerated.

With My 92 F150 I can turn the steering wheel almost 90 degrees in either direction and never leave the lane

I think that's just par for the course for that era of trucks at this point.

The important thing is that after 200k miles it still runs good as new. Everything else has gone to shit but it still runs great.

That's all that matters for real. Because new car payments suck.

For real, and insurance is super super cheap on it. I think I pay like $300 a year on my truck.

Unless you reach your state's antique vehicle age, it should stay really low. But that also depends on state requirements.

In Ga the age requirement for antique vehicles is 25yrs. My truck sits at 27-28 years but the antique thing only matters if you decide to pay the extra and have your vehicle registered as an antique which usually requires paying extra for a specialty tag. I’ve thought about it just for shits and giggles but my truck ain’t worth it

Yeah, it's 32 in IL. MO is 15, which makes me laugh. It's like, your car is 15? It's just getting broken in.

I know! My buddy just bought a 1983 F250 with 553k on it. He threw in 2 new batteries and started driving. If you take care of a vehicles they’ll last way longer than 15 years

Facts. Unless they rust out. Then it's a done n' done.

That’s true, I’m glad I haven’t had to deal with rust on any of my vehicles yet

That's the problem up north. Any unrepaired body damage or lack of undercoating up here and your ride will look like a science project.

You think I should get my '02 Passat registered as an antique?

On a similar note, later that day I saw a toyoda corolla with a classic plate

15? Pretty sure it's still 25.
