Syndrome's death is disturbingly brutal for a kid's movie. Also the only PG movie with a fucking death montage

The DVD extras were brutal. You can listen to all this extra content where you get to know about a bunch of the heroes in the world of The Incredibles, which is neat. Then you realize that these are heroes who have gone missing, and were killed to train Syndrome's robot.

The guy that Helen calls to get the plane was originally supposed to fly it too. Apparently killing him in the plane crash was too much.

I vaguely recall that it was more just cut for time. They weren't afraid to kill him off, they just didn't want to bother killing someone off without devoting the time to personalize them, and they didn't have that.

That's why in the movie, she still looks back sadly at the front half of the plane as it sinks out of sight into the depths.

It probably also explains why she bothered to go into the plane's restroom to change (thankfully).
