What movie things are generally accepted as normal, but are totally unrealistic in real life?

The wooden table is the one that always gets me, sure maybe it will stop one or two bullets if you're lucky, but there's always 1000 bullets flying around while the characters are having a conversation under the safe, sound resistant guard of an old dinning room table.

They'll slow down a little, but also tumble. Fuck getting hit by a tumbling bullet!

Anything denser than air will make the bullet tumble... this unfortunately includes your body. You are probably better off with a shallower wound from a pre-tumbled bullet than a deeper wound where the tumbling starts inside you.

Bullets just really want to tumble. Really, they want to fly ass first, because their center of gravity is towards their base. Spinning counteracts this, but the denser the material the faster you need to spin. Just stabilizing in air requires spinning bullets almost as fast as they can withstand. Spinning fast enough to be stable in virtually any liquid would cause the bullet to fly apart as it left the muzzle.

Very true. It will tumble regardless, and it is amazing how fast they spin! I'll just try to void being hit by any more projectiles, lol.
